This licence is valid for a maximum of 4999 persons at any one time but the premises may also be subject to a maximum occupancy figure.
The licensable activity authorised by this licence relates to the areas marked on the attached plan.
Mandatory conditions where licence authorises supply of alcohol
(1) No supply of alcohol may be made under the premises licence-
(a) at a time when there is no designated premises supervisor in respect of the premises licence, or
(b) at a time when the designated premises supervisor does not hold a personal licence or his personal licence is suspended.
(2) Every supply of alcohol under the premises licence must be made or authorised by a person who holds a personal licence.
Mandatory Condition: Exhibition of Films
The admission of children under the age of 18 to film exhibitions permitted under the terms of this licence shall be restricted in accordance with any recommendations made
a) By the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC), where the film has been classified by that Board, or
b) By the licensing Authority where no classification certificate has been granted by the BBFC, or, where the licensing authority has notified the licence holder that section 20 (3) (b) (74 (3)(b) for clubs) of the Licensing Act 2003 applies to the film.
Conditions Imposed by Licensing Committee or agreed with Environmental Health
A noise limiter shall be installed.
Premises to be vacated by the public one hour after the sale of alcohol ceases.
The performance of amplified music shall be no louder than the background level of noise at the boundary of neighbouring residential properties.
All external doors and windows must be kept closed in all rooms when events involving amplified music or speech are taking place, other than for access and egress, EXCEPT from 1st May until 1st October each year, when windows and doors at the rear of the building are permitted to be opened for ventilation from 09:00 hours to 21:00 hours. Openings, including those for extract and ventilation purposes, in the external fabric of the premises shall be acoustically sealed to the satisfaction of the licensing authority.
Clear and prominent notices shall be displayed at all exits, in external seating areas and car park requesting customers to respect the needs of local residents and leave the premises and area quietly.
A steward will be required on site at events where alcohol is sold after 19:00 hours only, to ensure that the front doors are kept closed.
The licensee will ensure that
a) Temporary electrical wiring and distribution systems are not used without prior inspection by a suitable qualified electrician.
b) Temporary electrical wiring and distribution systems shall comply with the recommendations of BS 7671 or where applicable BS 7909
c) Where they have not been installed by a competent person, temporary electrical wiring and distribution systems are to be inspected and certified by a competent person before they are put to use.
d) Entertainment equipment shall be fitted with a 30mAmp RCD (residual current device)
The licensee will ensure that an adequate and appropriate supply of first aid equipment and materials is available on the premises.

General
Close examination of those hiring the Village Hall together with stipulations in the hiring agreement that hirers comply with the rules of hire directed by the Management Committee, to include regulations with regard to bar closing times, underage drinking, care of property and location of fire exits etc.
The Prevention of Crime and Disorder
Display of suitable notices re bar closing time and restrictions re under age drinking.
Bar sales restricted only to those legitimately attending organised function and not for sale to members of the general public.
Regular inspection by Committee Members and premises supervisor of toilets / outside area re signs of drugs.
Public Safety
Existing signs for fire / emergency exits and evacuation procedures displayed.
Fire alarms and emergency lighting installed in building.
Fire retardant curtains used in hall.
Current fire certificate held.
The Prevention of Public Nuisance
Notices displayed inside and outside the hall stating that people leave the area quickly and quietly, that the front doors and windows be kept closed where possible to reduce noise to our neighbours. A designated committee member to liaise with neighbours suffering any discomfort caused by hall usage.
The Protection of Children from Harm
No entertainment or services of an adult nature or sexual nature are provided at the hall.
Bar signs stating no underage drinking, that the bar will only be open for specific organised functions and hiring only made to mature adults should reduce risk.
Younger children enter with responsible adult, parent or guardian.
Rigorous monitoring of hirers / users of the hall by he committee and premises supervisor will also assist in the protection of children from harm.
