This licence is valid for a maximum of 4999 persons at any one time but the premises may also be subject to a maximum occupancy figure.
The area to which this licence relates is outlined in red on the attached plan.
Mandatory conditions where licence authorises supply of alcohol
(1) No supply of alcohol may be made under the premises licence-
(a) at a time when there is no designated premises supervisor in respect of the premises licence, or
(b) at a time when the designated premises supervisor does not hold a personal licence or his personal licence is suspended.
(2) Every supply of alcohol under the premises licence must be made or authorised by a person who holds a personal licence.
Mandatory Condition: Door Supervisors
When one or more individuals are at the premises to carry out a security activity, each such individual must be licensed by the Security Industry Authority.
Mandatory Condition: Exhibition of Films
The admission of children under the age of 18 to film exhibitions permitted under the terms of this licence shall be restricted in accordance with any recommendations made
a) By the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC), where the film has been classified by that Board, or
b) By the licensing Authority where no classification certificate has been granted by the BBFC, or, where the licensing authority has notified the licence holder that section 20 (3) (b) (74 (3)(b) for clubs) of the Licensing Act 2003 applies to the film.
Embedded Restrictions for Off Sales
Alcohol shall not be sold or supplied except during the above permitted hours.
The above restrictions do not prohibit :
a) during the first twenty minutes after the above hours the taking of alcohol from the premises, unless the alcohol is supplied or taken away in an open vessel;
b) the ordering of alcohol to be consumed off the premises, or the dispatch by the vendor of the alcohol so ordered;
c) the sale of alcohol to a trader or registered club for the purposes of the trade or club;
d) the sale or supply of alcohol to any canteen or mess, being a canteen in which the sale or supply of alcohol is carried out under the authority of the Secretary of State or an authorised mess of members of Her Majesty’s naval, military or air forces.
Conditions Agreed with Environmental Health
1. Indoor sports entertainments
The licensee will ensure that
(a) If necessary, an appropriately qualified medical practitioner is present throughout the sports entertainment involving boxing, wrestling, judo, karate or other sports entertainment of a similar nature.
(b) Where a ring is involved it is constructed and supported by a competent person and inspected by a competent authority and any material used to form the skirt around the ring is flame retardant.
(c) At any wrestling or other entertainment of a similar nature members of the public do not occupy any seat within 2.5 metres of the ring.
2. General Conditions
(a) The licensee will ensure that Environmental Health at Melton Borough Council is notified at least 7 days in advance of any licensable event which is likely to exceed 23:00hrs on any day. This notification should include:
the date of the event
the nature of the event
the anticipated finish time for any regulated entertainment
the anticipated number of attendees
If only a certain part of the premises is to be used, the extent of that area
This notification may be sent via email to environmentalhealth@melton.gov.uk or by telephone on 01664 502502.
Any licensable event arranged less than 7 days in advance may still be agreed by Environmental Health on an individual basis.
(b) The licence holder must ensure that those neighbours who could reasonably be expected to be adversely affected by any noise nuisance from events occurring after 23:00 hours are notified of the event in advance.
(c) The licence holder, or a member of the Northfield Farm organisational staff with appropriate delegated authority, shall be in attendance at all times at events to ensure compliance with licence conditions and to monitor for and take appropriate action in relation to any potential noise nuisance from the premises. If delegated authority is used this must be recorded in written form and made available to authorised Officers upon request.
Conditions Agreed with Leicestershire Constabulary
The Licensee will ensure that Leicestershire Police are notified in writing at least 7 days in advance of any licensable event which is likely to exceed 23:00hrs on any day. This notification can be sent to Melton Police Station for the information of the Licensing Sergeant.
Any licensable event arranged less that 7 days in advance can be agreed if permission granted by the Melton Police Licensing Sergeant or Local Police Unit Inspector. In these circumstances licensable events will not be refused unreasonably or without good cause.
Conditions Consistent with the Applicant’s Operating Schedule
General
The licence holder will take all steps to promote the four licensing objectives.
The remote location of the premises and the nature of the client base, positively influences the licence holder’s ability to enforce these objectives.
Children will not be allowed into adult entertainment events, or other entertainment, or matters ancillary to the use of the premises, that may give rise to concern in respect of children.
The Prevention of Crime and Disorder
If requested by the Police, Security Industry Authority (SIA) Approved Personnel will be contracted for the entirety of each event.
All members of staff will be instructed in the prevention of crime and disorder at the farm.
Public Safety
The licence holder will ensure, as much as possible, that the public is not exposed to any danger.
The licence holder will ensure that the public are reminded that the venue is a working farm and caution must be exercised.
The licence holder will ensure there are warning signs by any potential dangers and there are risk assessment documents on the farm for inspection.
The Prevention of Public Nuisance
The licence holder will provide plenty of parking spaces.
The licence holder will ensure signs are on show asking guests to respect neighbours by keeping noise and disturbance to a minimum. (A sound check will be carried out during each event).
The licence holder will ensure there are sufficient toilets (male/female/disabled).
The licence holder will provide plenty of bins and staff to remove all litter.
Prevention of public nuisance will be an agreed part of every contract.
The Protection of Children From Harm
The licence holder will not host events that children can attend without a responsible adult.
Adults will be reminded to take care with children around the farm.
Sanitising gel will be provided when animals are handled.
The Challenge 21 Policy will operate.
