Mandatory Condition: Exhibition of Films
The admission of children under the age of 18 to film exhibitions permitted under the terms of this licence shall be restricted in accordance with any recommendations made
a) By the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC), where the film has been classified by that Board, or
b) By the licensing Authority where no classification certificate has been granted by the BBFC, or, where the licensing authority has notified the licence holder that section 20 (3) (b) (74 (3)(b) for clubs) of the Licensing Act 2003 applies to the film.
Conditions Agreed with Environmental Health
Indoor Sports Entertainment
The licensee will ensure that
a) As necessary, an appropriate qualified medical practitioner is present throughout the sports entertainment involving boxing, wrestling, judo, karate or other sports entertainment of a similar nature.
b) Where a ring is involved it is constructed by a competent person, suitably supported and inspected by a competent authority and any material used to form the skirt around the ring is flame retardant.
c) At any wrestling or other entertainment of a similar nature, members of the public do not occupy any seat within 2.5 metres of the ring.
Films
No flammable films should be allowed on the premises without the prior notification of the licensing authority/fire authority.
The licensee just ensure that immediately before each exhibition at the premises of a film passed by the British Board of Film Classification there shall be exhibited on screen for at least 5 seconds in such a manner as to be easily read by all persons a reproduction of the certificate of the Board or, as regards a trailer advertising a film, of a statement approved by the Board indicating the classification of the film.
The licensee will ensure that
a) Temporary electrical wiring and distribution systems are not used without prior inspection by a suitable qualified electrician.
b) Temporary electrical wiring and distribution systems shall comply with the recommendations of BS 7671 or where applicable BS 7909
c) Where they have not been installed by a competent person, temporary electrical wiring and distribution systems are to be inspected and certified by a competent person before they are put to use.
d) Entertainment equipment shall be fitted with a 30mAmp RCD (residual current device)
The licensee will ensure that an adequate and appropriate supply of first aid equipment and materials is available on the premises.
Conditions Consistent with Applicant’s Operating Schedule
General
Any hire of the Community Centre is subject to the Hire Agreement.
The prevention of crime and disorder
There will be monitoring of the premises.
Liaison with the committee and the Police where necessary.
Any advice given by Leicestershire Constabulary will be followed.
The centre has responsible key holders who ensure the centre is opened and locked when necessary.
Public safety
Centre has good disabled access. The centre currently has ramp access. It has two entrances/exits - one to front and one to rear. There are clear signs indicating emergency contacts/numbers all electrical equipment is checked annually. In addition, health and safety checks are to be carried out annually. There will be no more than 80 people in the centre.
The prevention of public nuisance
Keeping external doors closed when the centre is in use to prevent others just walking in. The windows on the centre cannot be opened.
Controlling noise from within the community centre.
External light onto the car park.
The protection of children from harm
Implementation of a drug and alcohol policy.
Adult supervision - These adults are all/must all be CRB checked.
